Catching up - TIME WARP VERSION!

So rather than leave the gaping hole that has existed here on the blog - I am just fast forwarding and sharing about our journey. We had a season (and really it was only 11 months) in the spot we were planted after the PhD.  It was chilly and had snow and being city folks, we found small town living to be a challenge!   Let's be honest - driving 30 minutes through corn fields and soy bean patches to get to a town in which I could then find a Walmart or Grocery store or Target was never something I had dreamed about.  So we packed up the truck and moved to St. Louis!  Picking up in 2014...

Our cat always knew when a move was coming because the boxes and tape would come out.
She would nest in them like a furry chicken!  She was so funny.

Our steps on our city street house in St. Louis.
We were just a block from the giant park (Forest Park - its bigger than Central Park in  New York!)

We met the neighbor's wonderful cat - Murray.
He is full of personality and a spirit that loves to be free.

And somehow these children just keep growing!

We loved our neighbors (which, consequently - we called 'the neighbors') :)

There were so many happy birthdays - and my baby girl turned 9!
(I can't believe how fast it goes!)

And my other girl turned 11 - and her cake was appropriately themed!
Soccer took a special place in her heart.

In fact, she had her soccer team over for a costume party... it was wild.

Oh, and we managed to squeeze in some school :)

And everyone got boots for Christmas!

We read Charlotte's Web (for the last time - for school - weeping!) and made spider cookies.
I love those kind of school assignments :) and so do the children.

And Daddy walked to work, which meant he looked like a Ninja with his scarf all around his neck.  He's so much fun.
