Something's Afoot..

Goodness.  Time flies and I haven't kept up with things here on the blog.  No matter, I will pick right up again (which means I may post occasionally, but let's hope not as occasionally as I had been!)

Some photos to catch up!  I will start with 2013 because that's when things just dropped off here online but changed for us over several years.

We had spa days...

Celebrated Ground hog's day 

(and one girl even cried because she didn't want to eat her cute ground hog dessert!)

We played in the snow...

Had birthdays...

Raced cars...

Colored eggs...

& wore pretty dresses...

Oh and occasionally we sat and learned, and learned and learned...

and we loved our beautiful North Carolina coast at Sunset Beach!  

But the biggest change of all in 2013 was that Daddy finished his PhD! 

 Now he can say "I'm a doctor - but not the kind that helps people!"  

This was the culmination of years of work and prayer and trusting God.  

And it felt huge! It was huge!

But that meant he would be moving on from our dear Durham, and that would mean saying goodbye..

To dear AWANA leader friends...

and to girlfriends we loved...

and to pals that we had come to enjoy.   

The backdrop of our life changed when we moved from the coast to the center of the US.  Daddy became a professor and we learned what small town living was like.  

We found beauty in new places...

And one of us found that joy can be found in a lot of running and a little kicking! 

We made new friends...

EVERYONE was getting taller!

And we did some school along the way!

We found beauty in our new place - bright splashes of it all over the place!

And Daddy got to wear his fun hat every semester! 

We did some more school work. 

Wore pretty scarves from Great Granmother - what a crafter!

Jumped in some leaves!

Touched worms!  EEK!!

Made some more friends (this was our "daytime" pajama party!) 

And still managed to get a little more school work done. 

AND WE PLAYED IN THE SNOW!!!!

Started a new year (sorry there is just going to be some overlap here!)

Yes, we party wild around here! 

Had crazy hair nights...

And celebrated birthday after birthday  - each one more joyful than the next.

 (What kid doesn't love getting a card full of cash for their birthday!?) 

We got taller and more lovely (I love how that happens - its magical!)
